Sabah Zine

Publication

This project was about designing an experimental zine that is visualized through the use of typography. The zine spreads showcase my visual interpretation of Sabah song by 47 Souls. It is a Palestinian song with symbolic meanings that are talking about the Palestinian situation. However, it can also be considered an existential war, whether it was losing land, dispersing identity, different communities, or oppressive people. The song emphasizes rejection, resistance, forces, oppression, reality, hope, and generations. I reflected the band’s direction in their songs with the created compositions, the combination of type distortion and texture. The colors were chosen to embody anger, courage, and power. Moreover, to reflect the Palestinian culture. This zine is targeting creative individuals who find their selves and express it by art.
